What is Athletic Therapy?
Athletic Therapy is the advanced assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries performed by Certified Athletic Therapists (CAT(C)s). Certified Athletic Therapists are experts at their trade both on the field/sidelines and in the clinic.
Certified Athletic Therapists utilize a wide range of tools to provide care including manual therapy, modalities, exercise prescription, and bracing. Athletic Therapists put a huge emphasis on ACTIVE rehab, incorporating exercise as part of injury treatment and routine care. This gives clients an opportunity to take initiative in their recovery.
On-Field care incorporates pre-game care (preventative care, taping), emergency first responding, and acute injury assessment and treatment.
Regardless of the athlete and the therapist, we all share a common goal: getting the client back to their usual activities (work, sports, hobbies, activities of daily living).
ATHLETIC THERAPY IS FOR EVERYONE!
Whether, you are a child who has sustained a concussion, or a weekend warrior recovering from a total hip replacement, Athletic Therapy can help!
