Do I need to be an Athlete to see an Athletic Therapist?
Athletic Therapy is for EVERYONE! You do NOT need to be an athlete to see an Athletic Therapist!
Is Athletic Therapy covered under OHIP?
Athletic Therapy is not covered under OHIP.
Does my Extended Health Care Insurance cover Athletic Therapy?
You will need to contact your HR department or Insurance company directly to see if Athletic Therapy is covered.
Many insurance providers do offer coverage for Athletic Therapy including:
Canada Life, Blue Cross, Desjardin, SunLife, Manulife, Green Shield, and more.
Do you provide Direct Billing?
Unfortunately we are not set-up for direct billing at this time.
Do you accept Motor Vehicle Accident or WSIB claims??
Unfortunately Athletic Therapists are unable to be primary care providers for Motor Vehicle Accident or WSIB claims in Ontario.
What method of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Debit, Visa, and Mastercard payments.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations require 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a $50 cancellation/no show fee.
Do I need a Doctor Referral to receive treatment?
We do not require a doctor referral for Athletic Therapy bookings. However, your insurance company may require a referral for services.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Bring a pair of shorts and a t-shirt to the appointment so that areas of injury may be easily accessed. A comprehensive assessment will be completed to determine the root cause of ailments (including subjective history, symptom checklist, joint ranges of motion, gait, functional movements, muscle testing, nerve testing, and balance/coordination assessments). All findings will be explained. An individualized rehabilitation plan will be created including manual treatments, modalities, and exercise prescription as needed.
